Inspiration

I was a teacher for several years before the stress of the job pushed me into finding some other way to make ends meet. While I loved working with kids, I absolutely hated the bureaucracy and paperwork that came with the job. My final years as an educator I worked at a small privately-run Quaker school in California, and this story is a reflection of that time.  Though I’ve joked about The Final Assessment being more of a terrifying biography than fiction, the truth is I wouldn’t trade a day of those crazy experiences and what they taught me.
